Dr. Sandra D. Smith teaches Economics in the BSBA program at NCalU. She is a results oriented executive whose most recent responsibilities included the administration of thirty four (34) grant funded youth development service programs ranging from k-12 at Medgar Evers College of the City University of New York. She supervised a staff of 120 employees with 34 direct reports. Dr. Smith has demonstrated leadership and fiscal abilities that include, but are not limited to: Reducing operating expenses by 30%, successfully implemented an online registration and student accounts receivable system for an institution of higher education; spearheaded strategic resources committee for reaffirmation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools  (SACS) and was the financial services liaison to that committee for an institution of higher education;  planned and implemented budget processes and procedures in order to right-size operating expenses; resolved customer service complaints by over 60% by providing customer service training and implementation procedures for employees with increased emphasis in customer care; successfully negotiated Internal Revenue debts which resulted in penalty abatements and reduced payment options; implemented online courses for High School students at an overage-under-credited collaborative program.

Dr. Smith has served as a Vice President for Fiscal Affairs, Executive Director of Youth Development Programs, a Mortgage Specialist at Chase Manhattan Mortgage Division and Assistant Vice President for Compliance for an institution of higher education. Dr. Smith is currently a Professor at Strayer University and Northern California University.

Dr. Smith has vast experience in Higher Education Administration and Secondary Education with an unwavering commitment to the highest educational standards in order to support and encourage today’s youth and adults. Additionally, she has an established record of achievement in challenging work environments which emphasizes high performance standards including attention to detail, deadline sensitivity, and excellent organizational skills.
