Program Overview

The goal of the Northern California University Promise Program is to ensure that families could better afford a NCalU education. Northern California University is concerned that families across the economic spectrum are having difficulty in meeting college costs.  Our financial aid program – the NCalU Promise Program -- is need-based and considers many factors such as income, size of family, unusual expenses, and expected parent/student contributions. The NCalU Promise Program award is not academic or merit based.

The objectives of the Northern California University Promise Scholarship Program are:

  • To make education at Northern California University more affordable to students who demonstrated financial need.
  • To eliminate the need for Student Loans by reducing tuition expenses.
  • To ensure that enrolled students earn a degree from Northern California University, thus strengthening and expanding the pipeline of talented students to contribute to the local, state, and national economy.
  • To make an opportunity available to students who otherwise could not afford to go to college.
  • To provide a scholarship program that is nation-wide (including Canada) and world-wide for those students to enroll in online programs that have a need for financial support for tuition.
  • To provide an avenue for all students to have access to higher education.
