Jerry holds an HND degree from De Montfort University, UK and is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET). He is a lecturer in Digital Media Technologies at Birmingham City University, UK, and course director for the Msc Web Technology Course. He is heavily involved in research in interactive television and media distribution and virtual classroom delivery in education.

Jerry has thirty years' experience in telecommunications research and development in intelligent networks, data communications protocols, interactive services, media distribution, broadband access and services development, defense communications contracts, network architectures and infrastructures.

During this time his research involves a number of collaborative projects between industry and universities for UK government funding and also for European framework funding. Research projects include industry/academic collaborative projects on networked virtual reality applications, intelligent agent-based e-commerce markets and adaptive services, information services and infrastructures.

 Jerry has presented papers and spoken at a number of highest level international conference and events and instrumental in a wide range of international collaborative work programs.
