Dr. Michael R. Brown, writer and member of the Accreditation Committee, holds a Ph.D. In English and Education from the University of Michigan, M.Ed. From Temple University, and B.A. From the University of Scranton. Over his 46 year career, he has taught in high schools, colleges, and universities in eight states and four countries and published poetry, fiction, essays, newspaper articles and academic writing. A slam poet and author of four volumes of poetry, he has performed in Europe from Vienna to Dublin and in North America from Vancouver to Key West. He lives in farthest Down East Maine where he is president of the community theater and co-editor of Off the Coast, Maine's international poetry journal. He is writing a book on teaching.
